The Great Mountain Giggle: A Sestina of Tiny Thoughts

In the shadow of mountains, I sit in a daze,
With a puff of sweet herb, my worries take flight,
But these giants around me, oh, how they amaze!
I feel like an ant, just a speck in their height,
Laughing at clouds, what a curious sight,
As I ponder my purpose beneath this vast haze.

“Who do you think you are?” roars the mountain with might,
“Just an earthy little speck in my grandiose play!”
I giggle and sparkle, feeling light as a kite,
Inhaling blissful moments, chasing worries away,
Yet here I am tiny at the end of the day,
To this colossal horizon, how small is my plight!

Each peak whispers gently, “It’s okay to feel slight,”
With the trees clapping hands, all waving in glee,
The herb brings perspective, lifting me to new height,
“Don’t take life too serious, just float like a bee!”
With a belly full of laughter and a spirit so free,
I dance on this canvas, wild dreams in my sight.

In the face of these mountains, I might be contrite,
But I’ll celebrate smallness with all of my heart,
For I’m a speck full of joy in this colorful light,
One with the cosmos, like a petal or part,
As long as I’m giggling, I’m playing my part,
Floating high in my head, this giggle is my flight!

So here’s to the mountains, the stoner’s delight,
With a view that’s so grand it can make you feel small,
But clinging to laughter, I’ll always feel right,
For in this great big world, we’re just having a ball;
Together we’ll rise, never care how we fall,
In the shadow of wonders that dance in the night.

So stack up those mountains and give them a height,
When you’re lost in their grandeur, just float, don’t you fight,
For a puff and a giggle can chase off the fright,
And as long as you’re laughing, the world feels so bright!
In the heart of the vastness, we’ll all shine so bright,
With love, laughter, and mountains, and stoned-out delight!
