High on Home Improvement

Hammers swinging, oh what a sight,
I thought I could build a new deck tonight.
I'm measuring twice, and toke-toking once,
My focus is hazy, I’m in for a dunce.

Cement in my hair, and paint on the walls,
The more that I laugh, the further it sprawls.
So I grab for my tool—what does it do?
Is that a screwdriver or just my shoe?

Oops! There go the nails, they bounced like a ball,
I meant to fix shelves; now I’m remodeling the hall.
Funky formations, art from my blunders,
Who knew that this project would lead to such wonders?

High on my craft, with the munchies in tow,
I step back to admire this curious show.
From a pot for my plants to a gentle love seat,
My cannabis haven, it’s now complete!
