While tidying up, oh what a sight,
I found an old sandwich, a true fright.
Beneath the couch’s groove,
An old DVD move,
“Did I really think this was all right?”
My socks formed a colony there,
Like they were plotting—an underwear fair.
A dust bunny fray,
In a wild ballet,
Tell me, how did they get past my care?
With giggles, I stumbled across
A roach clip, a relic, or loss.
I wondered aloud,
In a half-what-a-shroud,
“Was I really that lost in my gloss?”
