The Great High-Baked Bake-Off

In a town where the sun shone bright and warm,
A contest arose to test baking charm.
With flour and sugar, the stakes were high,
But the judges knew they’d be none too spry.

Competitors gathered, all giggles and grins,
With munchies aplenty and hopes for wins.
Each chef lit up, a puff here and there,
As they whisked dough and lost track of their hair.

First up was Sandy, with cakes piled high,
“I’ve baked you a bud cake,” she said with a sigh.
The judges took bites and their eyes grew wide,
As flavors of chocolate and peace spread inside.

Next came young Timmy, with brownies galore,
“I used grandma’s recipe, but added much more!”
The judges took nibbles, then forgot their task,
“Wait, what’s on the table?” they quietly asked.

Oh, Linda was crafting a pie with a twist,
“Infused with the essence of good ol’ bliss!”
But she mixed up her spices, tossed in some hay,
Said, “It’s organic,” as the judges turned gray.

Then came old Gus, with his cookies so round,
He thought he’d made magic; the dough spun around!
With chunks of dark chocolate and shards of white fluff,
The judges devoured, but had way too much puff.

As the clock ticked down, the place filled with laughter,
Each baker bewildered, forgetting their aster.
Yet somehow a winner, they still had to find,
As pies mumbled “replay” and brownies aligned.

At last, sweet Sandy was crowned with a crown,
“Your cake, it was great, though we’re feeling quite down.”
The crowd roared with laughter, high spirits in flight,
As the Great High-Baked Bake-Off ended that night!

So if ever you bake, just take care in your bake,
Keep the munchies balanced for goodness’ sake.
In a contest of laughs, none took home a prize,
Except for the joy that lit up their eyes!
