The Stoned Parrot's Paradox

There once was a parrot named Joe,
Whose chatter would steal all the show.
When I’d light up a joint,
He’d repeat every point,
Like a feathered friend with a glow.

“Munchies!” I cried, feeling grand,
“Pineapple pizza is just what I planned!”
But Joe's voice took a flight,
“Pineapple? Really? Alright!”
Now he’s the king of the snack stand.

In the haze of my quirky monologue,
He’d squawk out my thoughts like a log,
“Life’s just a game,”
He’d loudly exclaim,
“My owner’s a pot-loving fog!”
