The Grilled and the Thrilled: A Backyard Fumble

In a backyard bustling on a summer's day,
The grillmaster, Bob, was cooking away.
With burgers and dogs, the feast was in swing,
But little did he know, trouble would spring.

With spatula poised, he flipped with great care,
While friends gathered 'round for the barbecue fare.
But lo! On the table, a green-tinged delight,
A friend brought some ganja, and it caught Bob's sight!

“Oh, what’s that you have? A little green chat?”
He set down the spatula, his mind in a spat.
The smell wafted close, it was fragrant and bold,
He grabbed for a nugget, and his focus was sold.

The burgers went sizzling, the steaks got a char,
While Bob was busy, just chillin' with “star.”
He danced with the hemp as the grill gasped in fear,
Forgotten were franks as the munchies drew near.

His friends all laughed on, with plates piled sky-high,
As the hot dogs turned black in the heat of July.
“Hey Bob! What gives? Is our meal going south?”
But Bob just replied with a grin and a drouth:

“Don’t worry, dear pals, I’m just testing my craft,
A gourmet grilled bliss, with a side of good laugh!”
Yet, smoke it arose like a party alive,
As the flames danced around—would the food survive?

At last, with great fervor and a twinkle in eye,
He flipped the charred burgers, amidst giggles nearby.
“What’s blacker than night? Can it still be a treat?”
Was the question of friends at this feast full of heat.

In the end, they all gathered, though meals were askew,
With laughter and tales of the antics they drew.
And Bob, he did swear, with his heart filled with glee,
“We’ll remember this barbecue, just wait 'til next week!”

So here’s to the grillers, with herbs in the breeze,
May your backyard barbecues always aim to please.
Just keep one eye on the burgers, dear friend,
Or your backyard feast may just come to an end!
