In a dojo bright, the mats were laid,
Competitors strolled, a bit delayed.
With munchies tucked in every pocket,
They'd dare to kick and then just rock it.
First up, young Chuck, with a black belt on,
Stumbling and giggling, he’d just drawn a yawn.
He swung his leg, oh what a sight,
It looked more like dancing, but hey, that’s alright!
His foe was a girl, with hair like the sun,
She threw up a fist, “This’ll be fun!”
But then she got lost in a cosmic thought,
And forgot what the fight was she had just sought.
Next came the judges, with eyes half-mooned,
Forgetful of scores, they hummed a soft tune.
“Was that a punch, or a butterfly sneeze?”
They scribbled on papers, “All good, if you please!”
Meanwhile in a corner, sat Jimmy the Wise,
Contemplating life with glazed over eyes.
“What if a kick was just a strong hug?”
He mused as his buddy, a noodle, went snug.
Then came the finale, oh grand was the scene,
Two fighters collided, lost in a dream.
They swayed like the branches of trees in the breeze,
And fell to the ground with effortless ease.
In the end, there were no records to rack,
Just laughter and snacks in a hazy love pack.
So the trophy was given, to all who showed up,
For winning or losing, they cheered with a cup.
So if you’re feeling bold, and chill vibes you seek,
Join a dojo where laughter and good times peak.
For karate’s not just about skill or pure glory,
But the friends that you make and the stoned tales of yore-y!
