In a kitchen where giggles rose high and wide,
The bakers all stirred with some magical spice,
Chocolate chip cookies, but baked with delight,
Their minds all aflutter, ideas took flight,
As the timer ticked down, oh, what a thrill!
Each spatula wielded with shimmery skill.
One contestant, she whispered, “I think I should bake
A cake that’s adorned with my stash of the green,”
While another exclaimed, “I’ll make brownies awake,
With layers of fudge that will truly be seen!”
Ovens crackled with laughter, pots clanged in fun,
While flour flew up like sweet clouds on the run.
As measurements faltered in giggles and glee,
The sugar was poured with a splash and a swirl,
“Is this baking powder or a forest of tree?”
Mixing was tricky; the spatula twirled,
In a concoction so sticky it stuck to the pan,
The judges stood by with a smile and a fan.
The clock chimed its warning, the cookies turned brown,
A sprinkle of salt, but wait—is that cheese?
“Hey dude, can I borrow a slice of your frown?”
“Sure man, just hold on, I’m lost in the breeze.”
They tumbled and fumbled, then scraped the last bits,
Blobbed frosting on top like colorful zits.
When the sampling began, oh the tastes were bizarre,
A cupcake that crunched like a cool summer leaf,
An “oatmeal” surprise that just fell from the jar,
“Is that coconut? Or leftover dog treat?”
Judges chewed slowly, then laughed so much they cried,
With snickers and munchies, they couldn’t decide.
“Shall we judge by aroma, or flavors unheard?”
Suddenly, silence—a bake-off surprise,
A trippy tart burst with the fondest of words.
So potheads united, in baked good parade,
With smiles and munchies, their friendships were made.
