The Stoner's Lament: A High Comedy

In a haze of green, I sit and stare,
With nachos piled on my favorite chair.
Decidedly baked, I ponder my fate,
Yet can’t quite remember what’s on my plate.

Once I was sharp, quick as a whip,
But now I just giggle at my soggy chip.
For every bright thought, there’s confusion, dear,
As I wander the room—where'd I leave my beer?

My friends they do joke, “Oh, here comes the bud,”
As I trip on my shoelace, face-first in the mud.
With munchies so strong, I aim for a feast,
But settle for crumbs—a true stoner beast!

My phone it does ring, a call from my mom,
But I fumble and stumble, sounding quite dumb.
“Hey, uh, what’s up?” a classic reply,
Then she hears me munch crunch—oh, how low I sigh.

In my quest for enlightenment, I aim for the stars,
But end up on Netflix, still in my pajamas.
The meaning of life slips right through my hand,
While I’m lost deep in thoughts of a magical land.

So here’s to the stoners, so blissfully high,
Yet often forgetting the reason why.
For laughter and joy, we can’t help but applaud,
Though the drawbacks are many, we still find it odd!

So next time you light up, remember to see,
The quirky adventures, absurdities glee.
Embrace all the chaos, in your hazy throne,
For we’re all just a bit wacky when stoned and alone!
