The Great High Heist of Time

Two friends ignited with a spark of delight,
Decided to share some green under the night.
They rolled up a joint that was fluffy and nice,
Unaware of the clock, they’d pay quite the price.

First puff in the air, a giggle escaped,
“Time’s just an illusion!” one boldly shaped.
A second they took, and the world did a spin,
“What’s two hours gone? It’s like we’ve just been!”

With chips and some dip, they got lost in chat,
“We need a distraction! Let’s look for the cat!”
But the cat was on high, on a shelf made of dreams,
While they hunted around for their lost golden beams.

“Is that clock even working?” one finally said,
As they munched on the snacks, with no thoughts in their head.
“Maybe it’s broken, or we’ve all gone mad!”
“Or perhaps we’ve transcended,” the other then had.

Hours turned into days, or that’s how it felt,
When the sunlight returned, and their laughter just melted.
“What! The sun is rising? We missed the whole night?”
They stared at each other, then burst into light.

With a chuckle and grin, they vowed next time around,
To check on the hour, and the lapsing of sound.
But deep down they knew, with a wink and a chime,
The real joke was blissfully losing all time!
