There once was an engineer, quite clever and spry,
Who took a puff, then another, oh my!
With fingers a-dancing, on keys they did glide,
But the lines of their code took a wild, twisty ride.
Debugging became a hilarious mess,
As functions turned into whimsical quests.
“Is this variable real, or just in my head?
If I’m parsing spaghetti, am I coding or fed?”
They wrote with such fervor, a cascade of flair,
Yet every few minutes, they’d stop just to stare.
“At this monitor glow, is it cosmic or bright?
My code looks like poetry, pure digital light!”
They mixed all the loops with a sprinkle of zest,
Adding lambdas and bitmaps to put to the test.
“Why not use unicorns? They’re magic, you see!
And llamas in Python—I’ll call it a spree!”
Then came long nights, with coffee and chips,
While pondering binaries and rendering blips.
“Is this algorithm faster, or am I just slow?
At this rate, I might code a new kind of flow!”
At dawn’s early light, they blinked in surprise,
For all of their coding was riddled with “why’s.”
With a chuckle, they sighed, “Well, what can I say?
I’ve mixed up my logics in a very strange way!”
So now when they code, they do it with art,
For sometimes being high can ignite the smart part.
Just remember, dear friends, as you trek through the haze,
Balance your genius with good sober days!
