In a zoo where the lions lounged with flair,
A zookeeper named Joe had quite the rare air.
He’d spark up a joint before heading to work,
Leaving behind all his worries and perk.
With a grin like a monkey and giggles galore,
He strolled past the llamas, “Hey, who’s keeping score?”
The penguins were dancing, a waddle in time,
While Joe waved hello like he’d found the sublime.
He fed the giraffes with a handful of munch,
“Wow, you guys are tall! Let’s have a lunch bunch!”
The elephants trumpeted, “Where’s the fun treat?”
Joe offered them peanuts, “Man, life is so sweet!”
But chaos erupted when a parrot spoke out,
“Joe, you look stoned!” without doubt,
The monkeys all snickered, swinging with glee,
As Joe laughed along, “Yeah, it’s just me!”
Now the zebras were dizzy, lost in their stripes,
While the cheetahs played tag, avoiding all types.
Joe watched in amazement, his eyes all aglow,
“Who needs a circus? This show is a pro!”
By lunchtime, he pondered, while munching on fries,
“Should I teach the kangaroos how to fly?”
He sat on a bench, feeling jolly and light,
As a tortoise inquired, “Is something alright?”
Then it hit him, clarity at its peak,
“Just be with the animals, let’s play hide and seek!”
So he gathered the critters, a grand silly spree,
With Joe leading the charge—what a sight to see!
So if you visit the zoo and see laughter abound,
Know that Joe’s there, with his feet off the ground.
Though high as a kite, he’s still in control,
A zookeeper’s wisdom, infused with his soul.
