In a smoky hall, the pieces lay down slow,
Each player grinning, a bit too laid back,
“Is that my rook or just a pile of nachos?”
The clock ticks softly, our minds a bit slack,
“I’ll just move this pawn… wait, what was my plan?”
“Dude, I swear my king just blinked and lost track.”
With eyes like slits, they ponder their fate,
“Did someone pass the gum?” the knight pulls a face,
A giggle erupts, as bishops convene late,
“We’ll castle and jest, or let time run its race,”
“Oh man, is it check? Or am I just dreaming?”
The room spins softly, as they float in deep space.
One grandmaster stares, his mind atrophy clear,
“Why is my queen hiding? She was here, I swear!”
A friend bursts with laughter, “She’s in your hand, dear!”
They trip on their thoughts, lost in chain-smoking air,
“Next move I swear, I’m gonna be wise,”
But each pawn’s rebellion leads to comical despair.
A player drools slowly, “Am I losing this game?”
“Bro, it’s your turn—let’s make it absurd!”
With heroic chess moves, the knights go up in flames,
“Checkmate? Or lunch break?” A ponderous word,
Each time they declare, the laughter ripples wide,
“We may not be winners, but we’re definitely stirred.”
The final clash comes, with cheers, not with strain,
“Do I castling or queen, what do I do now?”
The referee chuckles, “I’ll just take a break,”
As they fold in their game, looking supremely avowed,
With THC wisdom, they claim victory grand,
Even if real chess skills don’t quite allow.
So here’s to the players, both mellow and sly,
In a world full of kings, they reign with a grin,
They’ll struggle through tactics, but let laughter fly,
In a tournament where everyone’s prize is pure sin,
Checkmate comes easy when the chips are all laid,
Just pass me a slice of that nacho bin win!
