In leafy greens, our zookeeper arrives,
With senses heightened, oh, what a surprise!
He strolls past monkeys, swinging from the vines,
And wonders if they’ve mastered human signs.
He feeds the lions with a stack of hay,
“Enjoy your brunch, my furry mates!” he’d say,
But as he notices their yawns and sighs,
He melts down—“You all seem pretty wise.”
With visions of giraffes wearing cap and gown,
He chuckles loudly, drawing all around.
The parrots caw in bursts of vivid hues,
“Is it just me, or are they mocking zoos?”
At day’s end, he reflects with a big grin,
“A job well done, and did I feed the finch?”
He laughs as he dreams of that kooky crew,
Next time he swears he’ll wear less of the dew.
