The High-Flying Zookeeper: An Unforgettable Day

One bright sunny morning, our zookeeper doth rise,
With a sparkle in his eye and a munchie surprise.
For last night’s indulgence, oh what a delight,
He woke up a little too high for the light.

Arriving at work with his hair all a-tangle,
He stumbled through gates, dodging zebras that wrangle.
“Good morning, my pals!” he said to a goat,
“Did you send me that message? I thought it was a note!”

He leaned on the fence, got lost in a trance,
Watching lions perform a bizarre little dance.
“Is that a ballet? Or pure tiger finesse?”
“A duet with the hippos! Now, that's just absurd, I guess!”

The monkeys were laughing, swinging and shrieking,
While he tried to figure out just what they were speaking.
“Are you all planning a party? Perhaps a parade?”
He swore they were plotting—his judgment delayed.

With snacks in his pocket, he offered them treats,
But gorillas just grunted, “Man, we need some beats!”
So, he pulled out his phone, blasting tunes loud and clear,
As the elephants stomped while the meerkats cheered.

The fountain exploded, a splash and a roar,
As penguins waddle-danced right out of their door.
His boss came a-racing, “What’s all the commotion?”
“Our animals are grooving—Blame it on the potion!”

By day’s end, our zookeeper was on quite a ride,
With a crowd of creatures all bursting with pride.
So remember, dear friends, while the job may seem fun,
Keep the high times away from the animal run!
