Oh, gather ’round, ye folks so spry,
For I will share a tale awry.
A parent brave, with heart so bold,
Led their child to learn of gold.
“Now, little one,” the parent said,
“As we embark, please clear your head.
We’re off to shop for herbal treasure,
To teach you all about the pleasure!”
Through the doors, they step with glee,
Past wall-mounted jars like a candy spree.
“Is that a gummy bear?” the child did squeal,
“I thought we came for broccoli” — oh, what a deal!
The budtender grinned, like he’s seen it all,
“This strain will make you feel ten feet tall!”
“Wait, what’s a strain?” the young one asked,
“Is it like a sport? Or a homework task?”
“Ah, my dear child,” the parent proclaimed,
“Think of it as a cat unashamed;
Some are fluffy, some are stout,
But all will make your worries shout!”
They strolled through the aisles, each product a gem,
“Is this for cooking, or perhaps for a hem?”
The parent just chuckled, “It’s not for a seam,
Let’s leave all your projects to broil in a dream!”
Fifty flavors danced on the shelf,
“You can pick one,” said the parent, “but let’s keep it stealth;
For when we get home, we’ll bake you a pie,
With a hint of this magic — oh my, oh my!”
And as they left with their loot in tow,
The child declared, “I’m ready to grow!
In this green field of laughter and delight,
I’ll embrace the herb and take flight tonight!”
So here’s to the parents, both daring and wise,
Who teach with flair, ’neath the cannabis skies.
For in every shop, there’s a lesson to learn,
And maybe a giggle, from which we can turn.
