Wandering past the lions, he chortles with glee,
Under a sunbeam, he’s lost in a tree.
Raccoons conspire, they plot and they play,
Kangaroos bounce while he’s fading away.
Eagles above him, they squawk and they squawk,
Every guest wonders just what’s in his stock.
Now, back in the enclosure, he chats with a bear,
Grizzly nods wisely, “You’re quite a rare flare.”
Tigers looked puzzled, a bit out of sorts,
Encounters with zebras lead to laughter and snorts.

Ready for chaos, he’s tipsy in spade.
Yet, come evening’s fall, as the day turns to night,
He’s the wisest of folks in this zookeeper fight.
