Tangled thoughts float, it's hard to see,
Hazy minds pondering strategy, oh me!
Chess pieces wobble, on the board they sway,
King’s gambit forgotten, who’s turn is it anyway?
Pawns make a break for the other side,
Rooks all agree that they’ll just abide,
Every move takes an eternity, it’s true,
After all, who knew chess could feel like a zoo?
“Checkmate!” one calls, but is it a ruse?
Hilarity bursts as they all start to muse,
“Was that a knight? Or a flamingo in flight?”
“Can’t tell if I’m winning or losing tonight!”
