The Lyrical Highs of Stoned Poets

In a circle of laughter, where munchies do reign,
Four friends with some herb sat down for the strain.
With papers and pens, their hearts all aglow,
They vowed to write poems, inspired by flow.

“I’ll start with a sonnet, it’ll shimmer and shine!”
Said Jack with a grin, feeling fancily divine.
He scribbled a line about daisies in spring,
But the words turned to mush—was that cereal or bling?

Then Lucy exclaimed, with her hair in a twist,
“My poem will break hearts, make the angels exist!”
With passion she wrote, though the subject was strange,
About cats wearing top hats in a world full of change.

Next came old Tom, with a laugh like a bell,
He said, “Let’s see whose rhyme can compete with my spell!”
But halfway through “roses” he just lost the track,
And instead wrote his ode to the last pizza snack.

Now Sarah, the quiet one, gave it a go,
“I’ll write about dreams, and the moon’s silvery glow.”
But lost in her thoughts of flying on stilts,
She ended up rhyming with chocolate and quilts.

As clouds filled the air, and ideas flew high,
Their laughter echoed softly beneath the night sky.
With verses so silly, they struggled to stand,
These poets so high, with their hearts full of sand.

At the end of the night, as they rolled up their sheets,
They realized their muses were nothing but treats.
For poems in bliss, though they may seem a jest,
Are the giggles of friendship, that truly are best.
