In a garden, lush and green,
With plants that sway in every scene,
I thought I'd grow some lovely bud,
But all I got was plenty of mud!
Read all the books, I studied and toiled,
Yet my first crop looked fairly spoiled,
The buds were tiny, much like a pea,
What the heck happened? Just let me be!
I watered them daily, with love and care,
But somehow the weeds had a love affair!
They sprawled and tangled, made quite a fuss,
While my little plants lay down in disgust.
I thought I’d outsmart them, put nets up high,
But the squirrels had other plans oh my!
They danced on my garden with wild little prances,
Challenging me with their questionable chances!
In the end, I learned quite a bit,
That gardening’s not just about knowing fit,
With laughter and patience, I’ll try once more,
Next time, I’ll make sure to lock the door!
