At eight in the morning, the bartender wakes,
His eyes all glazed like a donut in glaze.
He stumbles to work, feeling fancy and free,
Grabbing his shaker, convinced he can juggle,
But instead, he just drops the limes in the sink,
And giggles because, hey, they're still quite zesty!
To the regularsâ cheers, he starts to pour drinks,
With a grin like a Cheshire, his thoughts start to race.
âDo you want gin? Or perhaps a nice tonic?â
He shrugs, they wonât know what the drink takes,
âCause the more he stirs, the more he just sinks,
Into a haze like his minty mojitos, all foggy and dank.
A customer winks, asks for a cocktail with flair,
But he hears âtickle meâ and bursts out in laughter.
He gives them a smile, lemon twist on a dare,
And finds hidden straws like a mad twirling dancer,
As he accidentally serves a drink meant for Fido,
And they both find delight, raising glasses in cheer!
âSo, whatâs the special?â the bartender asks,
A fog in his head like the clouds in July.
âWhy, it's your signature!â the boss shouts, unmasked,
But he blinks, confused, like a cat in a tie.
Heâll slap on a garnish, some mint, and a smile,
And hope that nobody asks for a reply.
As happy hour bounces, the tips start to flow,
He finds solace in shots that he takes like a pro.
With the bar top as his stage, heâs ready to go:
Making margaritas while dancing with Joe,
Except no one can see that his footâs stuck to glue
As he wobbles like jelly, feeling high as a kite.
When the night finally falls, the bartender sways,
And the last call echoes, a friendly farewell.
His newfound rhythm, a glorious craze,
He bids them adieu, raising a glass for each tale.
With laughter in waves and a heart full of dreams,
We toast to our hero, the tipsy mixologistâs tale!
