The (Very) Informative Field Trip

One sunny day, with a wink and a grin,
A parent declared, “Let the fun times begin!”
“Today we’ll explore, come learn something new,
About the green herb that’s just waiting for you!”

They hopped in the car, filled with giggles and glee,
“This isn’t just shopping, it’s bonding, you see!”
“Now don’t get too nervous, just follow my lead,
We’re off to the store for a little ‘herbal’ need.”

As they entered the shop, what a sight to behold,
Buds stacked like mountains, green treasures untold.
The parent exclaimed, “Look at that one! It’s nice!
But wait, before buying, we must check the price!”

With jars full of colors, like rainbows in jars,
The child’s eyes widened, they felt like real stars.
“Are those really gummies? Can I eat one?” they said,
“Only after the lesson, now let’s clear your head.”

“You’ve got to know strains, like Indica and Sativa,
They affect how you feel, think of it as a diva.
One makes you giggle, the other is chill,
Just don’t mix them up, or you’ll need a long spill!”

Next came the budtender, a pro with a smile,
“Have you two been here? Let’s chat for a while!”
The parent nodded proudly, “This is my child’s first run,
Teaching them cannabis—I’m such a cool one!”

With questions and answers, the child learned with glee,
“Can I buy pre-rolls? Or is that a no-go for me?”
“Let’s first check your age, aren’t you fifteen, my dear?”
The budtender chuckled, “Well, then let’s make it clear!”

With a final decision, they chose with great care,
A little for learning, a little to share.
As they strolled out the door, the parent said, “See?
Education is key, now let’s go have some tea!”

As they drove down the road, what a memorable plight,
“Next time,” said the child, “maybe candy’s in sight!”
And the parent just chuckled, “Oh, what a delight!
The art of purchasing weed—what a fun light!”
