The Knight Shift: A Stoned Strategy Showdown

In a smoky old hall where the potheads convene,
The chess pieces glisten, but their players are green.
With bags full of snacks and their minds floatin’ free,
They gather for glory in this high-spirited spree.

The queen’s at her castle, her movements unsure,
While pawns are debating what snacks to procure.
“Dude, is it my turn?” one stoner proclaims,
As he ponders which piece might be good for some games.

The knights prance ahead with a wobble and sway,
And bishops keep whispering, “Dude, pass the tray.”
While rooks lay back, caught in a schmoozy embrace,
Time’s ticking away—what a slow-moving race!

“Check! Wait, what's that?” one competitor squeaks,
As he drifts into thought, lost in doughnut-filled peaks.
“Did you say I’m in check? Or was that just a snack?”
He nibbles on Cheetos, completely off track.

The referee snickers, trying hard not to laugh,
While the players misjudge every serious path.
“Is that even a move? Bro, I thought you just twitched!”
As the other replies, “Nah man, I’m just super rich!”

As the clocks keep on ticking, the tension does rise,
But all they can ponder are the pizzas and fries.
“Checkmate, my friend!” one proclaims with delight,
But they’re all too enthralled with the glow of the night.

So here ends their tale, in a haze of good cheer,
Where pawns danced with rooks with no worry or fear.
In this stoned tournament, the chessboard lay bare,
For when brains turn to mush, who even cares?
