In a lecture hall bright, where knowledge should soar,
Stood Professor Chuck Watson, his mind off to war.
With a puff and a pass, he’d embraced the green muse,
Yet little he knew, he’d soon sing the blues.
“Good morning, class!” he began with a grin,
Unaware of the chaos about to begin.
“Today we shall study the works of Descartes,”
But his thoughts were on nachos and sweet, cheesy tarts.
With a marker in hand and a flick of his wrist,
He launched into space, “Existence? It’s bliss!
I feel, therefore I… umm... wait, what was I saying?”
As he wandered through realms, the students were swaying.
He conjured up theories on clouds made of cheese,
And Einstein on bicycles, with wheels that could breeze.
“E=mc², or is it… some kind of stew?
A recipe for physics, oh, you know how it do!”
Students exchanged glances, their eyes open wide,
How could such wisdom have gotten so fried?
With giggles and whispers, the room filled with cheer,
As the professor rambled on without a clear steer.
He recited great sonnets while mixing up names,
“Shakespeare and Snoop Dogg, both played similar games.
To be or not to be — that's the question for you,
And who says that rhymes don’t rhyme well with doob?”
When the bell finally rang, he stumbled outside,
And chuckled, “What brilliance! They’re lucky I tried.
For what’s life without laughter and a little surprise?
Today, I’ve taught them more than their textbooks advise!”
So here’s to the professors who dabble and dream,
With a mind so expanded, they fly like a beam.
For no one can teach quite like Chuck, full of cheer,
Here’s hoping tomorrow, he’ll remember to steer!
