“Come on, kid,” said Dad with a grin,
“It’s time we learned how to buy some green!”
With a wink and a nudge, they hopped in the car,
To the local dispensary, not very far.
“Now watch what I do, and try to be cool,
We’re in a smoke shop—this ain’t Sunday school!”
Lines of jars twinkled under bright neon lights,
While aromas of lavender teased their delights.
“Look over there!” he said, pointing with glee,
“There’s a strain called ‘Giggles,’ just perfect for me!”
Through aisles of strange names, like “Purple Sunset,”
Dad gave his boy the rundown, no need for regret.
“First, check the THC, don’t be a fool,
Too little’s like water, too much is a pool!”
The poor son just nodded, with eyes open wide,
“Dad, can we go home? This is like a wild ride!”
With options galore, they grabbed a few bags,
“Next, I’ll teach you the art of the brags,”
A sweet salesperson winked, with knowledge to share,
“A dab of this wax? Or a gummy to spare?”
“This one’s for focus, that one’s for fun,
Pick your potion wisely; let’s nail this run!”
His son clutched a cookie, eyes twinkling with cheer,
“Does this mean I can be vibrant all year?”
They paid with a laugh, both feeling quite slick,
“Remember,” said Dad, “it’s all ‘bout the kick!”
But as they stepped out, into daylight’s embrace,
They forgot one small thing—Dad’s ‘special’ place!
So off they drove home, both happy and high,
Learning to navigate clouds in the sky.
And as they munched goodies, both giggling in sync,
They’d mastered the art of the green-thumbed link!
