In smoky rooms where king and pawn do clash,
With munchies piled high, they strategize with glee,
The bishops glide like stoners through a hash,
While knights take leaps, pretending they’re all free.
“I think it’s my turn?” one player calls aloud,
His queen moves sideways, bumping into fluff,
A castle falls, and laughter fills the crowd,
“Oh man, was that my piece? Who’s had too much stuff?”
The clock ticks slowly, time is but a haze,
A pawn’s sharp move is met with lazy grins,
They argue over rules in stoner ways,
While downing bags of chips—where to begin?
With every check, they mumble, “What’s your plan?”
“Dude, I think I’m like, the king of this whole game,
But wait, what’s my name?”—the gambit’s gone awry,
A final move… “Oh look! I made a flame!”
