The High Minded Scholar: An Ode to Professor Kafka

Oh, Professor Kafka, with intellect so bright,
You stumble to the lecture, bathed in morning light.
Your hair a wild forest, a cap of unkempt grace,
Little do you know, today you will race!

With a coffee in one hand, a joint in the other,
You enter the classroom; your mind’s like no other.
“Today we discuss Kant,” you announce with a grin,
As you ponder if mountains could ever wear skin.

You lecture on wisdom, on reason and time,
While dreaming of pizza and rhythm and rhyme.
Your students sit puzzled, exchanging a glance,
As you wax poetic on the virtues of dance.

“Is reality real?” you passionately plead,
“To be or to not be? Let's dive into creed!”
But the answers elude you, like clouds in the sky,
As you lose your own train while you aim for the high.

“Oh, knowledge is power!” you rally with flair,
“Like eating a sandwich with no one to share!”
The class bursts in laughter, you’re light as a feather,
In the realm of the merry, you’re light as a tether.

So here’s to our professor, in haze, let him dwell,
With wisdom distorted, yet casting a spell.
A beacon of laughter, confusion, and glee,
May your classes be frequent, and your weed seed-free!
