Under the stars we pitched our tent,
With snacks and giggles packed tight in our stash.
The fire crackled, our spirits were sent,
As we sparked up a joint that would surely not clash.
The world seemed so big, or was it just small?
With friends all around, we were having a ball.
“Dude, is that a bear or just a big dog?”
Someone whispered, eyes wide with the fright.
We all turned to look, our thoughts in a fog,
The shadows danced around in the flickering light.
It’s probably nothing, I’m sure we’re all fine,
Let’s debate over marshmallows and stick to our wine.
A s’more was crafted, our hands quite unsteady,
The chocolate melted, the heat from the glow,
But oh, the more we stuffed in, the less we were ready,
To deal with the crumbs and the sticky-thin dough.
“Is this normal?” someone asked with a grin,
As I wiped off the goo that had coated my chin.
Then dawn approached and our sleep was elusive,
We swore we heard whispers from trees made of dreams.
The owls had all gathered; they seemed quite inclusive,
Discussing our fate in elaborate schemes.
“Let’s hike!” someone yelled, but the thoughts of a trail
Made us all anxious, our courage grown pale.
With snacks in our packs and some soda to sip,
We ventured outside, every step feeling grand.
But the woods looked so weird, like a carnival trip,
Trees grinned at us, they just would not stand.
Our laughter echoed, “Are we lost? Is it real?”
“I swear I saw Bigfoot; my heart’s got a reel!”
So back to the camp, we decided to waddle,
To the warmth of our fire that flickered and shone.
With tales of our wisdom and giggles to coddle,
We packed up our memories and felt it was home.
In the end, we found joy weaving through THC,
With high friends and good vibes, just as it should be.
